Travis Scott’s Seltzer ‘Cacti’ debuts in stores and is officially made available for the general public starting today. The agave-infused hard seltzer has 7 % ABV and is available in 3 flavors, namely; pineapple, strawberry, and lemon. Available in a 9 and 12 variety pack, the seltzer is available in retail stores all around the US. Although a tequila-inspired agave seltzer is the first of its kind, there have been plenty of collaborative pursuits between celebrities and liquor brands in the past. Here are CopUnderdog’s favorites:
JayZ’s billions weren’t solely from his illustrious music career. His stints with the liquor industry has proved to be a profitable exercise for the rapper. His D’Usse Cognac in partnership with liquor brand Bacardi has been distilling since early 2012. Aged atleast for four and a half years, the cognac has been selling ever since. This alongside his champagne brand that he recently sold for 300 million means that ‘Hova’ is doing it right.
Cincoro Blanco Tequila
Michael Jordan, Jeanie Buss, Emilia Fazzalari, Wyc Grousbeck and Wes Edens created the Cincoro brand that distilles tequila for bars of all budgets. The bottle, inspired by the agave leaf has five sides, for each of its five founders. Besides his iconic deal with Nike, this is perhaps the GOAT’s next best move off court.
Virginia Black Whiskey
Virginia Black is a curated collection of two, three, and four-year old Bourbon Whiskeys conceptualized and owned by Champagne Papi himself. The Whiskey distilled by Brent Hocking has a 40% ABV and has been capturing taste buds much like Drake’s music does.
Deadpool starrer Ryan Reynolds bought a stake in the Aviation Gin brand and will continue to be the face of the brand even after it was sold to Diaego for 610 million. Ryan will still continue to star in commercials for the spirit and will profit off of future sales of the gin for the next ten years.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Ciroc grape vodka has been a huge asset in his portfolio, unlike most liquors that are manufacted using potatoes or other starchy vegetables, the unconventional approach Diddy chose has been revered as groundbreaking. Ciroc’s sales speak for themselves. From being ranked 50th to rocketing all the way to the top as the #2 vodka in the world second only to grey goose. Ciroc’s collaboration with Diddy was one of its kind.
