The Women’s exclusive Air Jordan 1 Metallic Court Purple debuts today. Although the callback and inspiration is clear as day, the metallic series has been a subtle pack shadowed by other releases in the Jordan brand. Here’s a trace of the Metallic Pack in all its two iterations

1985 Jordan 1 Metallic
The Og iteration of the Metallic Pack, seen in Orange, Navy, Purple, Red and Green colour blocking. Made of a primarily White upper with a metallic swoosh, wings logo and sockliner/ heel area. The metallic pack also featured a sole and matching laces in each of the metallic colourways. Debuted in 1985 with other classics like the Chicagos and Breds, the Metallic Pack flew off shelves and was a part of the 13 original Jordan 1s that got the ball rolling

2020 Jordan 4 Metallic
With an early 2020 release, the Metallic Pack made its comeback in 2020 on the Jordan 4 silhouette. Although a direct reiteration of the OG Jordan 1 pack, the 4s was only made available in four colorways, Metallic Orange, Red, Green, and Purple. Dressed in an all-white upper with subtle metallic accents on the eye stay/ wings and the Jumpman logo on both the heel tab and tongue

The 2021 Court Purple is a retro of the 85 Metallic Purple, arguably the closest the Jordan brand will come to the 85 release. Cop the right size at the right price now, available in-store and online
